Ugis Vorons has started working in the position of the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Industra Bank. Uģis is a professional in the finance and insurance industries, with more than 20 years’ experience both in Latvia and abroad.

Pursuant to the Articles of Association of Industra, Uģis Vorons is elected to the position of the deputy chairman of the Management Board for the term of five years, after his candidature has been agreed with the Financial and Capital Market Commission.

Uģis Vorons was the head and a member of the management teams in the largest Latvian insurance companies - SEB Dzīvības apdrošināšana, Balta, BTA, as well as in ING Life in Russia.  In the banking sector, Uģis Vorons gained significant experience while managing the pension and insurance business in Citadele Banka, as well as while developing and implementing a new business strategy in Reģionālā Investīciju Banka.

I am convinced that Uģis's extensive experience and knowledge will provide us with significant support both in working with customers and providing e-commerce services and lending, as well as in developing new business directions and managing changes,” says Raivis Kakānis, the chairman of the Management Board of Industra.

At the same time as Uģis Vorons has started working in his new position, the management board member Jekaterina Meinharde has resigned from her post in the Management Board. As from now, Jekaterina Meinharde will be in charge of the Customer service department of Industra. Having long worked in the banking sector, Jekaterina Meinharde has gained valuable experience in a variety of banking areas, including while being a long time in charge of the customer service team and of the development of the bank’s projects and sales processes.

The same as before, Ruta Amtmane will continue her work in the Management Board of Industra, where she is responsible for the legal matters, bank’s overall business compliance and AML.
