Jurijs Adamovičs, Chairman of the Board of Directors

Jurijs Adamovičs (Yuri Adamovich) is an entrepreneur, investor and internationally renowned bank restructuring and corporate turnaround professional. 

Jurijs led large scale bank rehabilitation and consolidation projects in Eastern Europe, managed  multi-billion private equity, real estate and corporate loans portfolios in his previous executive roles. He held non-executive chairmanship and board positions in a number of a leading enterprises, including publicly listed.

Jurijs received a Masters in Finance degree from the prestigious London Business School. He holds an Executive MBA and a Bachelor's degree in International Economic Relations from the University of Latvia, where he also completed a theoretical programme for PhD in Economics.

Andis Kļaviņš, Member of the Board of Directors

Andis Kļaviņš is a private equity and venture capital investor who brings a wealth of real sector expertise ranging from managing mid-size production enterprises to overseeing multimillion holding companies.

Andis' knowledge is based on a long history of leadership in companies of various industries. He now makes use of this knowledge in making and managing private and risk capital investments, seeking ever new investment opportunities in companies with high growth potential.  

Andis holds a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Statistics  from the University of Latvia and MBA RISEBA.  

Ivars Grunte, Member of the Board of Directors

Ivars Grunte brings more than 30 years of high-level legal experience to the INDUSTRA Supervisory Board.  

He is the Managing Partner at the TGS Baltic law firm and a Council member of the Latvian Bar Association. Previously, for many years, he was the Managing Partner at the Grunte & Cers and Tark Grunte Sutkiene law firms.  

Ivars is widely recognised for his work on dispute resolution, arbitration courts and practice in commercial law. He is registered in a series of leading legal catalogues worldwide, including The European Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. He holds a Master's degree in law.

Raivis Kakānis, Chairman of the Management Board

Raivis Kakānis has a wealth of experience in the banking sector of the Baltic States. Before joining the INDUSTRA Board, Raivis led the operations of the Sampo Bank in Latvia and later spent more than 10 years as the Head of the Danske Bank in Latvia. At the beginning of his career, Raivis also gained valuable experience in various positions at the Latvijas Krājbanka and the Latvian branch of the Nordea Bank.

Particularly useful for Raivis as INDUSTRA Board Chairman is the knowledge that he gained while managing the Danske Bank in terms of developing lending portfolios and partnering with companies of various countries, industries and sizes. That was the exact focus of the Danske Bank operations and it will be highly useful in ensuringe growth of INDUSTRA.

Raivis has a PhD degree in economics from the University of Latvia. He has supplemented his academic achievements with a series of professional training programmes that have allowed him to obtain certifications that are important in the banking sector. These include the ACI Diploma in financial market management and the ICA certificate in money laundering prevention.

Artūrs Veics, member of the Management Board 

Artūrs is a financial industry professional whose responsibilities at INDUSTRA include finance, risk and corporate transformation management.

Prior to joining the INDUSTRA team, Artūrs gained valuable experience in corporate transformation in the Luminor bank during the change implementation process there, as well as helped to develop business of an international fintech company. Artūrs played a significant role in restructuring of Parex banka and later also in development of its assets, while heading Reverta's Risk Management Department.

He developed pragmatic vision and data-driven business decision-making process early in his career when working in the Ernst & Young audit team for more than four years.

Artūrs graduated from the Riga Higher School of Economics and in 2014 became a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).

Toms Grīnbergs, Chief Risk Officer

Toms is a highly qualified specialist with more than 14 years of experience in risk management.  In the Bank, he is responsible for managing the risk control with the aim of creating a nuanced risk culture to ensure INDUSTRA's profitability and long-term risk mitigation. 

His previous work experience took place at Danske Bank JSC, where he, among other things, had the position of the Credit Director in the bank's Latvian branch, managing the Baltic Credit Collection and Recovery Divisions, as well as making credit decisions at the level of Danske Bank Group in Copenhagen.

Toms holds a Master's degree in Economics and Business from Erasmus University in Rotterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Latvia. Toms is passionate about modeling financial risks and simplifying complex cases.
